Birth Services

Birth Center or Home

Whether you choose to birth in one of our home-like birth suites, or your own home, our midwives are experts at supporting you through natural birth. We embrace your need for comfort and encourage you to eat, drink, and move freely while in labor, as well as being able to wear your own clothing and having the support people you need surrounding you. If a problem develops during labor, and a transfer of care to the hospital becomes necessary, your midwife will accompany you to the hospital to allow for a seamless transition. Our statistics speak to the safety of the care we provide with only a 10% labor transfer rate, with the vast majority being non-emergent, and a 5% cesarean birth rate for women who begin labor in the birth center or home setting. Less than 1% of transfers are emergencies.

Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)

Our midwives love supporting women in planning and achieving a VBAC! We provide education on the risks and benefits of a Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC) and repeat cesarean to help you make the most informed choice for your birth. Over 95% of our clients planning a VBAC end up with a successful vaginal birth. Due to birth center regulations, VBAC is only offered in the home setting to acceptable candidates. For women choosing to VBAC in the hospital setting, we collaborate care with maternal fetal medicine during pregnancy, and coordinate with the hospital for birth.

For women who undergo a cesarean, we provide post cesarean care, including incision/wound care and counseling.
